Displays raising funds for P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative

Lancaster is home to “Stony Brook Legendary Lights,” one of the most imaginative, must-see holiday lights celebrations in the country. Over the span of eight streets, more than 300 homes are creatively adorned with lights, giant inflatables, Christmas characters, messages of peace and moving images (figuratively and literally). It’s a winter wonderland that can be walked, or driven through, each night from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day.

The displays provide great family fun – and though they can be explored for free, the Stony Brook/Quail Run developments use these presentations as a means to raise funds for a worthy cause.

Per its website, “Stony Brook Legendary Lights” is a neighborhood collaboration “devoted to partnering with, and donating to, local to Western New York (WNY), child-centric charities.”

Donation drop boxes are situated along the course. This year, funds are going toward P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative, the charity former in 2004 by former Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl punter Brian Moorman. P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative “provides families in Western New York facing pediatric cancer with critical programs that offer financial, practical and emotional support from diagnosis to recovery and bereavement.”

More information about P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative can be found at puntpediatriccancer.org.

“Stony Brook Legendary Lights” is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For more information, a map, or to make a donation, visit https://www.stonybrooklights.org/.
