Village of Lewiston dedicates Morgan Lewis bust

Statue in International Peace Garden
The man for whom Lewiston was named received his own monument on Thursday, as the Village of Lewiston officially unwrapped the Morgan Lewis bust inside the International Peace Garden. Acclaimed sculptor Susan Geissler created the artwork - her third monument in Lewiston, joining the Tuscarora Heroes (Center Street) and Freedom Crossing (Water Street).
Mayor Terry Collesano emceed the event. The Rev. Monsignor David LiPuma offered prayers, and Old Fort Niagara soldiers were on hand.
