Dancers pay tribute
More than 250 people came out to Niagara Falls High School's Performing Arts Center on Friday to celebrate 50 years of the Greater Niagara Ballet Company (formerly Niagara Civic Ballet). In particular, they came to celebrate dancers past and present, as well as artistic director and founder Beverley Feder, FUSTD, FCUSA, FICIA.
"Reverence to 50 Years of Elegance" performers staged excerpts from "Pas de Quatre," "Les Patineurs," "Send in the Clowns," "The Nutcracker," "Kaleidoscope" and "Le Valse" from "Les Sylphides." They also paid tribute to the late Miss Ellen Davyes in a number Mary Schnepf choreographed, called "For Ellen (Who taught me the Charleston)."
A reception followed at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston.
