Popular Grand Island event returns
Saturday was perfect weather to get out and mow the lawn or watch the greatest spectacle in lawn mowing: the Grand Island Father's Day Lawn Mower Race, held on West River Parkway between Long Road and Sunset Drive. (Photos by K&D Action Photo and Aerial Imaging)
Races took place in several classes, with the fastest entries in the pro stock division reaching 75 mph, and other street stock entries, pictured above, a little slower.

The Kevin Doring Memorial 5K was a part of the event once again for a walk and run along the West River.
