Summer fun and entertainment heating up in Niagara Falls; locals, visitors encouraged to #SoakItIn
Representatives from the leading tourism and entertainment venues in downtown Niagara Falls came together Tuesday afternoon to outline all that residents and visitors can see, experience and enjoy this summer.
The Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp., Old Falls Street, USA, Hard Rock Cafe, Niagara Falls USA and Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino held a special joint media conference to announce the extensive list of entertainment and activities taking place this summer.
"I'm so pleased that all of our downtown partners that are here today have come together to share all of the exciting events and activities that will be taking place this summer," NTCC President and CEO John Percy said.
"As we look forward to another extremely successful summer tourist season, we are thrilled that our visitors and residents will access to such a diverse and entertaining summer season," he added. "To coin the appropriately chosen hashtag for the summer in Niagara Falls, we invite you to #SoakItIn."
Susan Swiatkowski of Old Falls Street and the Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association and Jason Murgia of Old Falls Street listen to Claire Seveno of Hard Rock Cafe, Niagara Falls USA.

In addition, there are free games and activities daily on Old Falls Street, and fireworks at Niagara Falls State Park on the weekend.
In addition to the summer calendar, the Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association introduced a new program called the "Niagara Falls Power Card." This collaborative card, sponsored by the Niagara Falls State Park, features specials offers on food, beverages and fun at participating Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association venues. It will be distributed with the Discovery Pass, a ticket to attractions such as the Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist and the Aquarium of Niagara.
"We told you we had a jam-packed schedule," Percy said. "We're so proud of this. I am so proud of all of these partners that have come together this year to collaborate and work together on giving us this jam-packed schedule.
"We're very, very happy, and hope that you will join us every day this summer, here in downtown Niagara Falls."
