Hayley Pizur of Grand Island, daughter of Martin and Erin Pizur, recently graduated from Daemen University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry and psychology.
Pizur earned the distinction of summa cum laude, recognizing her exceptional academic achievement and commitment to excellence throughout her collegiate career. She was also a member of Daemen University's Honors Program, which provides academically accomplished students with opportunities for advanced scholarship, research and leadership development.
In addition to her academic success, Pizur was a dedicated student-athlete, competing on Daemen's track and field and cross-country teams throughout all four years of her undergraduate studies. Balancing the demands of collegiate athletics with a rigorous academic schedule, she demonstrated remarkable discipline, perseverance and determination both in the classroom and in competition.
This fall, Pizur will continue her education at University at Buffalo, where she plans to pursue advanced studies as she works toward a career in the healthcare field. Her passion for science, commitment to helping others, and strong academic foundation position her well for future success.
