The Buffalo Bicycling Club is hosting the New York state team time trial championships in memory of Glenn Hansen, for the second year, on July 12. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to get a team of three to four riders together. The goal is to achieve one’s fastest time around a loop of Grand Island.
Categories include elite, cat 4/novice, and masters. These are for both men and women for the state championship title. In addition, there will be age-based individual time trial categories for races outside of the state championship title.
Time trial bikes and equipment are welcome in all fields, except the “Cannibal” road bike-only category, so participants can feel free to use their time trial or triathlon equipment.
As part of the Buffalo Bicycling Club's commitment to grow women's cycling, the women's fields at the USAC-sanctioned events are free. Juniors also race free in any eligible category.
