Three Lewiston-Porter senior students were each presented with a $1,000 scholarship by members of the Lewiston Service Guild at the Lewiston-Porter High School scholarship program on June 4. The scholarship recipients are Max Ljiljanich of Lewiston; and Jaden Reid and Kaitlyn Szarejko of Youngstown.
This fall, Ljiljanich will attend Alfred State College, majoring in electrical construction and maintenance. Reid will also attend Alfred State College, majoring in heavy equipment operations. Szarejko will attend Clemson University, majoring in general engineering. The scholarship recipients were chosen based on their outstanding grade-point averages, community service, and letters of recommendation.
The Lewiston Service Guild was established in 1938 to support community programs and foster social connections. The organization's fundraising efforts have financially supported various local charities and provided scholarships to Lewiston-Porter senior students.
