Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announces the appointment of Lynn-Marie Aronica, M.D., as its new chief of obstetrics and gynecology, effective May 11. Her leadership reinforces Memorial's commitment to enhancing women's health services and meeting the comprehensive healthcare needs of the Niagara community.

Aronica previously held the position of associate chair of the OB/GYN department at Catholic Health Mercy Hospital. Since 2020, she has worked as a general OB/GYN physician at Trinity Medical, and has served as a laborist at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital since 2017. Additionally, she spent 10 years as a staff physician at Mercy Hospital, providing care in both clinical and laborist roles. Aronica also maintained a private practice in obstetrics and gynecology for several years.

She has been board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2007. Aronica earned her medical degree and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She holds certifications in basic life support (BLS) and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).

In addition to her clinical work, Aronica has significant experience in medical education. From 2008-20, she served as volunteer faculty at SUNY Buffalo, where she trained internal medicine residents and medical students in office settings and on labor and delivery floors. Furthermore, she co-chaired the MORE OB initiative from 2013-15, which focused on collaborative training for physicians and nursing staff to enhance patient safety and reduce obstetrical risk through emergency drills and fetal monitoring education.
