Gift bags delivered to area residents through Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels

The compassionate care provided by the nursing team at Kenmore Mercy Hospital often goes beyond the bedside and into the homes of the Ken-Ton community.
Due to an overwhelming positive response, its nurses hosted the third annual “Spring Happiness” gift bag collection to bring a touch of springtime happiness to the community.
A total of 365 bags were created to distribute to Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels. Bags were filled with gifts donated by associates. These thoughtful packages were given to representatives from Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels, who will deliver them to program participants along their daily routes in the upcoming week.
These special deliveries provide an opportunity to let the seniors in our community know that they are being thought of and how valued they are. Social interactions are incredibly important for the mental and physical well-being of elderly individuals, contributing to better cognitive function and reduced risk of depression and isolation.
