The Erie County Fair is bringing the island vibes to Western New York. The venue announced Grammy Award-winning artist Shaggy will take the stage Saturday, Aug. 9, in the Buffalo News Grandstand, as part of the Channel 4 concert series.
Shaggy, best known for his international chart-toppers “It Wasn’t Me,” “Angel,” “Boombastic” and “Oh Carolina,” has sold over 40 million albums worldwide. He remains the only Diamond-selling dancehall artist in music history. His genre-blending sound – mixing reggae, pop and R&B – has earned him two Grammy Awards, countless nominations, and collaborations with artists including Sting, Sean Paul and Olivia Rodrigo.
With an energy-packed performance and hits that span decades, Shaggy is sure to bring a dance-ready crowd to Hamburg.
Tickets for Shaggy’s performance and the other concerts go on sale to the public starting June 6 at www.ECFair.org. Members of the Erie County Agricultural Society receive early access to purchase tickets (on June 5). Membership applications are due May 31 and available at www.ecfair.org/ecasmembership. All tickets purchased in advance include free gate admission to the Erie County Fair on the day of the show.
