The Grand Island Memorial Library invites families to celebrate the Easter season at the 2025 Easter Egg Trail, presented by the Grand Island Recreation Department, Grand Island Memorial Library and Miracle League of WNY.
The event takes over the library grounds from 9-11:30 a.m. Friday, April 18. A no-cost family event for all ages, a variety of Easter activities are scheduled.
•9-9:30 a.m. – A special Easter Egg hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny in the library is offered for children with adaptive needs. Eggs will be hidden throughout the library for a fun egg hunt.
•10-11:30 a.m. – The Easter Egg Trail will open with Easter activities inside the library. Visitors are also welcome to walk along the Easter Egg Trail, being created throughout Veterans Park.
Egg locations will be marked with wooden Easter decorations along the trail, which is a paved and natural surface. GI Recreation staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist visitors. It will take approximately 30 minutes to walk the entire trail.
In addition, visitors can participate in various Easter activities inside the library, including three craft stations, photo booths, visits with the Easter Bunny, a Kelly’s Country Store Easter chocolate raffle and more.
Visitors are reminded to bring a basket or bag to collect eggs. Easter Eggs are hidden at locations throughout the park, and each egg has a treat or toy in it. What’s more, random eggs will have golden tokens in them – find one and bring it to the Recreation Department staff inside the library to redeem a golden egg prize.
Other activities scheduled include the GAC Club bake sale and basket raffle and beverage servings from Kornerstone Coffee. Visitors can enjoy hot coffee, hot chocolate and breakfast treats from Kornerstone. The bake sale and basket raffle are hosted by the Golden Age Club, with treats available for purchase while supplies last.
All sales are cash only. Proceeds go to support the nonprofit GAC Club’s senior activities around Grand Island.
