Eight Days of Hope – Buffalo 2025 is taking place this July, serving the Niagara District in Buffalo. This year, an estimated 1,500 volunteers from across Western New York and the U.S. will come together to serve 100 families in the Niagara District with free home repairs.
This outreach will take place from July 19-26, bringing together businesses, churches and people from across the state to build a better Buffalo, one home at a time. This year’s event is the sixth annual outreach for EDOH in the City of Buffalo. Since 2019, over 1,596 families in five different districts have received free home repairs.
“Each year, I eagerly look forward to our summer outreach in Buffalo. Seeing my hometown come together to love and support one another brings me so much joy and reminds me that the Buffalo spirit is truly special,” said Stephen Tybor III, EDOH president and CEO. “This year will be no different, as we hope for a record-breaking number of volunteers and families served in the Niagara District. Join us this July as we make a difference in this amazing community.”
“For years, the Niagara District has been eagerly awaiting the day when Eight Days of Hope would take on serving some of our homeowners who need it the most,” Councilman David Rivera said. “That day is finally here, and we could not be more delighted to see the transformation that Eight Days of Hope, together with their legion of volunteers, has on the West Side!”
For those in need of assistance in the Niagara District, view requirements and apply online at www.eightdaysofhope.com. Applications close at 8 a.m. Monday, April 21. Families will be selected lottery-style at 7 p.m. Monday, April 28, at the EDOH Satellite Office, 852 Kensington Ave.
EDOH is thankful for the continued support of the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency, the City of Buffalo, and local government officials to ensure that volunteers from WNY and across the country can come together to love and serve this community.
