Hosted by Jason Kennedy and Erin Lim Rhodes, 5&2 Studios rolled out the black carpet for the U.S. premiere of “The Chosen: Last Supper (Season 5)” on March 20 at B&B Theaters in Dallas. Over 600 fans participated in the premiere in-person, while 212,000 fans tuned in live to the livestream on The Chosen YouTube channel.

5&2 Studios will release “The Chosen: Last Supper (Season 5)” in theaters nationwide in the weeks leading into Easter beginning on March 28, distributed by Fathom in the U.S. and by Trafalgar Releasing internationally. Shot in cinematic format, “The Chosen: Last Supper” features Holy Week, the most pivotal week in history, in this special theatrical release.

‘The Chosen: Last Supper’

The table is set. The people of Israel welcome Jesus as king while his disciples anticipate his crowning. But- Instead of confronting Rome – he turns the tables on the Jewish religious festival. Their power threatened, the country’s religious and political leaders will go to any length to ensure this Passover meal is Jesus’s last.

“The Chosen” is a groundbreaking historical drama based on the life of Jesus (Jonathan Roumie), seen through the eyes of those who knew him. Set against the backdrop of Roman oppression in first-century Israel, the seven-season series shares an authentic and intimate look at Jesus’s revolutionary life and teachings. What started as a crowd-funded project has grown to over 280 million viewers and more than 17 million social media followers.
