The Niagara County Department of Public Works (DPW) today announced a public information meeting regarding the upcoming road construction project on Rapids and Raymond roads. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Lockport Town Hall, 6560 Dysinger Road. Representatives from engineering firm Erdman Anthony will be on hand to provide details on the project scope and answer any questions the public may have.
The roughly $6 million project includes mill and overlay to restore the riding surface on Raymond and Rapids roads. In addition, there will be reconstruction work with grade adjustments at the Bartz/Crosby and Minnick Road intersections with Rapids Road.
Bids for the project will be taken later this month and construction is expected to begin in late summer.
