Gliding Stars of Western New York Press Release & Graphic
The Gliding Stars of Western New York will present their annual ice show – “Rocks the Ice!” – at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, inside the Paddock Chevrolet Ice Arena, 251 Brompton Road, Tonawanda. Fun for the whole family, skaters and volunteers will celebrate their skills on the ice through various routines that bring back the days of the jukebox era, with hits from some of the most popular artists from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.
Over 100 skaters and 150 volunteers will participate in the ice show, which brings together people who have been skating at rinks in West Seneca and Niagara Falls since October.
Tickets are $12 in advance (call 716-608-8345 to reserve) or $12 at the door. Admission is free for children ages 3 and under.
Founded in 1994, the adaptive ice-skating program for individuals with disabilities is headquartered in Buffalo, with a program in Rochester, as well. For more information, visit www.glidingstars.org.
