Town of Niagara Councilman Marc M. Carpenter will seek reelection in November as the endorsed Democratic and Conservative candidate.

Having been a town resident for over 50 years, he brings extensive local experience to his role. In a previous position, he served as the town’s police commissioner and is currently the town’s deputy supervisor.

Carpenter resides on Wildwood Drive with his wife, Gerry. He has three daughters and eight grandchildren. He retired from General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant after 48 years of service, where he held the position of UAW/GM Suggestion Plan co-administrator and worked in the GEN-V machining department. He was a member of UAW Local 774.

"I take pride in standing up, being accountable, and prioritizing the needs of our residents,” Carpenter said. “I strive to keep taxes low and under the 2% tax cap while maintaining essential services that our residents rely on. To be an effective leader, one must maintain an open mind, listen to all perspectives, and focus on achieving positive results that benefit all town residents. I aim to demonstrate respect, compassion and honesty in all of my actions.

“With your support, I look forward to continuing to serve our great community with dignity and pride. I firmly believe that ‘a public office is a public trust.’ ”
