The family and friends of Kimberly LaRussa are hoping for your support!
Kimberly is the founder of Sweet Buffalo, a good news platform in Western New York that has helped countless children, families, nonprofits and animals, and now she needs us!
Kimberly was recently diagnosed with Stage 2A Grade 3 Her2+ invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive breast cancer, at only 37 years old. She just had surgery to have her port put in and is now receiving chemotherapy for 12 weeks, followed by surgery, radiation, and a targeted therapy anticancer drug for a year.

Kimberly is a mom to a 10-year-old boy and a wife to her husband, Carlo. They have three rescue dogs and a rescue cat. Kimberly has dedicated much of her life to helping the community and is always on the go. Unfortunately, now she will have to slow down and focus on beating cancer – and we want to help her do that!
A benefit will be held for Kimberly from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Buffalo RiverWorks. The benefit will help Kimberly not have to worry about bills or taking time off of work while she fights to beat cancer. We are asking for donations of baskets, gift certificates, door prizes and silent auction items so we can support Kimberly during this difficult time and have the most successful benefit ever for her!
Tickets are $20 and include pizza, pop and five raffle tickets. The event will feature the opportunity to hold a baby kangaroo from Niagara Downunder, rescue puppies from Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue, a live DJ, caricature drawings by viral snow sculpture artist Eric Jones, braidbabes, glam makeup, a photo booth, Norah’s Bracelets for a Cause and more!
If you’d like to be a sponsor of the benefit, you can too! Please call, text or email Mary Friona at 716-545-1624 / [email protected] or Rose Snickles at 716-531-6480 / [email protected].
Thank you for your support for Kimberly! <3
