Shea’s Performing Arts Center Press Release & Graphic
The Shea’s Performing Arts Center’s arts engagement and education department welcomes students ages 10-17 to “Sing Your Story,” a camp held during the school winter break led by resident teaching artist Alejandro Gómez. Using a song of their choice, students participating in the camp explore their unique life experiences to create a connecting monologue and “Sing their Story.” Students will devise their own ideas, lighting, and costumes leading to a personalized performance where they are the star!
Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, to Friday, Feb. 21, at Shea’s 710 Theatre, 710 Main St., Buffalo. At 6 p.m. Friday, “Sing Your Story” will culminate in a song showcase on the Shea’s 710 Theatre stage for an invited audience of family and friends.
To reserve a space, contact Shea’s VP for Marketing and Communications Kimberly Boyle to schedule a time to visit the camp: [email protected] or 716-480-7597 (cell).
