Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center proudly hosted a special ceremony in its Scott Bieler Family Foundation Training and Innovation Center to honor Ann Flack’s extraordinary career upon her retirement from NFMMC. After over six decades of unwavering dedication, Ann leaves a remarkable legacy of service, compassion and excellence in patient care.
Ann’s journey with Memorial began at just the age of 16 when she joined the hospital as a dietary aide. What started as a part-time role soon became a lifelong commitment to health care. After graduating from Niagara County Community College in 1967 and becoming a registered nurse, Ann began her nursing career in another department before finding her calling with the hospital’s gastroenterology team. There, she dedicated the majority of her career toward becoming a cornerstone of its success and a trusted caregiver.
“Ann embodies what it means to serve with heart and purpose,” NFMMC President and CEO Joseph Ruffolo said. “Her loyalty to this institution, her colleagues, and her patients is unparalleled. She has enriched our hospital and strengthened our community’s fabric through her kindness, expertise and unwavering dedication.”
Ann witnessed incredible advancements in medicine and nursing throughout her career while remaining steadfast in her commitment to delivering exceptional care. Her role extended beyond the bedside, as she mentored countless colleagues and inspired generations of health care professionals at Memorial.
The ceremony featured heartfelt remarks from hospital leadership, friends, and colleagues who shared personal stories and expressed gratitude for Ann’s dedication. Staff gathered to celebrate her legacy, highlighting the countless lives she has touched over the years.
As Ann begins her well-deserved retirement, her influence will continue to resonate throughout NFMMC, a testament to her extraordinary service.
