Hank Lisowski, born on June 12, 1938, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 8, 2025. He died at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston surrounded by his family. He graciously and mercifully did not suffer.
Hank is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Piwowarczyk) Lisowski; his daughter, Laurie (Lisowski) Frey, and son-in-law Kent Frey; his son, Gary Lisowski; his sisters-in-law, Karen (Piwowarczyk) Szuder and Barb (Piwowarczyk) Zajac; his brother-in-law, David Piwowarczyk; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Hank was born and raised in Niagara Falls. He is the son of the late Henry and Lottie Lisowski. Hank served in the United States Marine Corps. He obtained a civil engineering degree from Tri-State College (n/k/a Trine University) located in Angola, Indiana.
Hank and his family moved to Lewiston in 1971. Hank worked as a project manager in the construction industry in Niagara Falls and later was an engineering professor at Erie County Community College.
He was a very accomplished musician. He played the trumpet, accordion, piano and sang. He was a member of two bands: The “J-Kays” and the “J Henry Orchestra.” Hank, along with his wife, Ann, built a very successful Shaklee Products business from their home over the last 50 years.
He was an avid golfer and member of Niagara Frontier Country Club since 1981, where he won several individual and team tournaments. Hank also loved the Buffalo Bills and was a proud supporter. He was an excellent carpenter and artist. He and his wife and kids had a small farm at their home on Ridge Road. They had an apple orchard, acres of grapes, several gardens, and raised many different types of animals.
When Hank took his last breath, God released His angels to take him home to heaven. We know this is true because, on Dec. 12, 1973, Hank, and his wife, Ann, asked Jesus to forgive their sins and become their Lord and Savior. Although his family is grieving, they are also rejoicing that he is with Jesus.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
The family would like to thank their extended family members and friends for their loving support and prayers.
There is no prior visitation. Private funeral and burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery (Lewiston) took place at the convenience of the family.
