The Niagara County Office for the Aging is seeking nominations for the 2025 Niagara County Senior Citizen of the Year. Each year, our office recognizes a senior who is an integral part of our community, giving back to and serving residents of all ages.
Anyone who is a Niagara County resident and at least 60 years of age is eligible, and anyone can nominate them. We simply need the nominee’s name and contact information, the name and contact information of the nominating person or group, and a description of why the nominee should receive this distinguished award.
We ask that all nominations be submitted to our office either in person or by mail at the Niagara County Office for the Aging, 111 Main St., Suite 101, Lockport, NY, 14094; or email [email protected] by Friday, Feb. 21. contact Amy at 716-438-3061 for more information.
All nominees will be reviewed, and a winner will be selected by our advisory council. The winner will be recognized by the New York State Office for the Aging in Albany on May 27. All honorees will receive a package that includes a commemorative pin, a hard copy of the book of biographies, and a certificate from New York State Office for the Aging.
