Assemblyman Angelo Morinello is inviting local business owners and community leaders to an informational Zoom session to learn more about the New York State Excelsior Jobs Program. This initiative offers private businesses significant tax incentives to encourage job creation and economic growth in Western New York.
“As we enter the 2025 calendar year, I am committed to increasing awareness of programs that benefit our local businesses and communities,” Morinello said. “The Excelsior Jobs Program is a powerful tool to help businesses expand, create jobs and drive economic development in our region.”
The Excelsior Jobs Program provides fully refundable tax credits to businesses that meet predetermined job creation commitments. Minimum requirements vary by industry, with commitments as low as five new jobs in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, life sciences, scientific R&D, software development and music production. Qualified businesses may receive up to five fully refundable tax credits over a benefit period of up to 10 years.
The Zoom session will include an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, and how businesses can apply for these valuable tax credits. Representatives from the regional office will be available to answer questions and guide interested participants through the process.
