On Thursday, Dec. 12, members of Youngstown Boy Scout Troop 829, along with members of Troop 829’s Girl and 829 Venture crew, visited to help spread the Christmas holiday cheer to residents of Ransomville Manor in Ransomville.
Together with their sponsors, the Youngstown Lions Club, Troop 829 members were joined by First District Niagara County Legislator Irene Myers and Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti to celebrate a third year of singing Christmas carols, handing out presents and wishing a “Merry Christmas” to Ransomville Manor residents.
Gifts for the residents were provided by the Youngstown Lions; Christmas gift bags with essentials were donated by REWORLD of Niagara Falls and presented by Myers.
“Sheriff Filicetti shared holiday greetings and Santa passed our candy,” Myers said. “The residents look forward to this enjoyable evening of gifting and entertainment of caroling by the Scouts, along with the many volunteers at this annual Christmas event.” (Submitted photos).
