Press Release
Would you like your children or grandchildren to experience the pleasure of an old-fashioned Christmas pageant without all the rehearsals and hassle? Bring them to Trinity Church, 371 Delaware Ave., Buffalo at 2:30 p.m. for the 3 p.m. Christmas Eve service, Tuesday, Dec. 24, dressed as an angel, shepherd, king, Mary, Joseph, star, or animal (any animal will do).
Costumes will be available if your kiddo arrives without one. All children will be incorporated into the telling of the Christmas story. Familiar Christmas carols will be sung.
“It looks a lot like a pageant,” said Trinity’s rector, Matt Lincoln. “But it is not a performance by children for an audience. It is a way for children to worship God by experiencing something like going to Bethlehem to see the Christ child. That is why we invite them to participate without rehearsals. At the same time, grandparents get to see their grandchildren looking angelic!”
Trinity Church is a metropolitan house of prayer – a community of worship and spiritual inquiry, welcoming all people. For more information, call 716-852-8314 or email Lincoln at [email protected].
