Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum receives funding for new pilot library program

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum announced it has received a grant from Garman Family Foundation, administered by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. The grant will be used to pilot a weekday STEM library program.

The museum is grateful to the Garman Family Foundation at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo in their support of this project. The project will begin in February and run through November 2025. The museum’s education department currently offers outreaching programming in the topics of electricity, simple machines, environmental science, engineering, and coding. Potential new subjects for this program include physics, mathematics, sound, complex machines, and more.

The partner libraries for this project are the North Tonawanda Public Library (505 Meadow Drive; https://ntlibrary.org/) and the Newstead Public Library (33 Main St., Akron; https://www.buffalolib.org/locations-hours/newstead-public-library). Both libraries and the museum will announce the dates and times of programs in early 2025.
