On Nov. 25, the Niagara Gospel Mission received a brand-new van on behalf of all the Ford dealers in the Western New York area. This new van is providing opportunities for the agency to go mobile and aid Niagara County in many different ventures.

This past Friday afternoon was one of the first opportunities for the Niagara Gospel Mission put its new Ford Friendship Express Van to good use. Many of the men in the recovery program at the agency, along with a few staff members, went out to the corner of 19th and Niagara streets to deliver coffee and coats to those in need looking to warm up on a cold December afternoon.

“It was a joy to use our new van to go out into the community of Niagara Falls and share coffee and coats with those in need. It is a blessing to bless others and share hope during the Christmas season. This would not have been possible without the wonderful gift the Ford dealers gave us,” said Chris Amico, associate director at Niagara Gospel Mission.

The agency’s hope is that, by providing simple services such as this, the City of Niagara Falls will continue to be impacted.

If you are in the city and would like to donate or know more about the Niagara Gospel Mission, call 716-205-8805, ext. 107. The agency appreciates everyone’s support in ensuring Niagara Falls is rebuilt one life at a time through the reviving of hearts.

Niagara Gospel Mission is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit providing services to the homeless and poor at 1317 Portage Road, Niagara Falls. Visit niagaragospelmission.org to learn more about current services – and plans to develop services for homeless women.
