Lumber City Winter Walk & tree-lighting ceremony a celebration of holiday cheer

Get ready for a day filled with holiday magic at the 24th annual Lumber City Winter Walk and the first tree-lighting ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Organizers said, “From live music to festive shopping, kids’ activities, and the inaugural tree-lighting, this beloved event is sure to spark the holiday spirit in everyone.”

Event highlights include holiday musical performances with:

•Matt’s Music Vocal Performance Team, noon – 2 p.m. in front of the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St.

•Frosted Notes, 4-5:30 p.m., Gateway Harbor, 84 Sweeney St.

•Thirds of a Feather, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in front of Satisfied Mind, 110 Webster St.

The tree-lighting ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. at Gateway Harbor, 84 Sweeney St.

Organizers said, “Join the community as we light up Gateway Harbor with this new tradition, making Lumber City shine bright!”

Shop local and enjoy activities

Also that day:

•Explore downtown businesses offering special discounts and holiday cheer.

•Browse over 15 vendors with unique holiday gifts, tastings, and sip-and-shop experiences.

•Get creative with wreath-making workshops and ornament decorating.

•Delight the kids with activities like cookie decorating, face painting, balloon animals, and a chance to meet Santa!

“Don’t miss this joyful celebration of community spirit and seasonal festivities,” organizers said. “Bring your family and friends to experience the magic of the holidays in North Tonawanda.”
