Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club Press Release

The Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club announced its CEO, Rebecca Vincheski, was awarded the Heart of the Region CEO of the Year Award for the Northeast Region of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This distinguished honor is a testament to her unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and dedication to serving youth in the Niagara Falls community and beyond.

The Heart of the Region Award, presented annually, recognizes exceptional leaders who demonstrate outstanding service, inspire positive change, and embody the core mission of creating opportunities for young people to thrive. Vincheski’s innovative strategies and tireless efforts have not only transformed the lives of countless children and families, but have also set a new standard for community engagement and impact across the region.

Vincheski began working with the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club in 2014. At the time, as the chief operating officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo, she was tasked with serving as the lead consultant for a management agreement designed to assist the struggling Niagara Falls site. It was quickly determined that the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club had significant potential, and Vincheski was offered the position of CEO in 2015. Within less than a year, working in partnership with the board of directors, the club was able to pay off all its debt, increase revenue by over $200,000, and institute new policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls. Today, the NFBGC has increased its budget from $350,000 to $2.1 million, allowing the club to serve over a thousand youth annually.

Under her leadership, the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club has experienced remarkable growth, expanding programs that foster academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development for youth. From spearheading initiatives that address critical community needs to cultivating partnerships that amplify the organization’s reach, Vincheski’s vision has solidified the club’s role as a cornerstone of support in Niagara Falls.

"Rebecca Vincheski exemplifies what it means to lead with passion and purpose," said Joseph Ieraci, NFBGC board president. "Her dedication to ensuring every young person has access to opportunities and resources has been transformative for our community and beyond."

This award is not only a celebration of Vincheski’s achievements, but a reflection of the collective efforts of the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club team, its supporters, and the community that works tirelessly to empower youth.

The Heart of the Region Award was officially presented to Vincheski during the northeast regional conference on Nov. 21, where her contributions were celebrated among her peers and partners.

Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Clubs was established in 1936. Over the years, it has expanded its reach from one to eight locations throughout the City of Niagara Falls. Eight-five percent of its clubs are located in the poorest communities in Niagara County, and its members are among the most at risk for academic failure; alcohol, tobacco and substance abuse; premature sexual experimentation; violence, gang activity and juvenile delinquency. Today, it is working to build a focus on academic success, career development and leadership, and building healthy youth and families, so the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club will truly be the place where great futures start.
