Press Release

Provident Entertainment announced the addition of singer/songwriter Megan Danielle to its roster. As the 2023 “American Idol” runner-up, Danielle is thrilled to release her first label debut single, "When I Found You," available everywhere now. Co-written with Jason Ingram and Ethan Hulse, this song is the first of many new songs coming in 2025.

Listen to "When I Found You" here.

"I am overwhelmed with joy that this song is finally out! I’ve been so excited for everyone to hear this because it means so much to me," Danielle shared. "In life, all of us at some time experience loss. Whether it’s a job, a dream, a hope, a relationship, or an expectation of how our path was supposed to turn out. ‘When I Found You’ is about finding restoration and hope in God. It’s about healing and understanding that God is our strength and comfort when we want to pick up the pieces and rebuild. I hope this song provides peace to anyone who listens."

Danielle is a deep soul with many life experiences – even though she is only 22. Growing up in Georgia, despite being shy about her musical gift, she eventually booked a show at the age of 15. By 18, she was singing anywhere she could. On “American Idol,” her performances showcased vast musical influences such as Miranda Lambert, Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, Zach Williams and Fleetwood Mac.

"We are thrilled to have Megan join the family of creators at Provident Entertainment," President Holly Zabka said. "The moment I heard her on ‘American Idol,’ I fell in love with her sweet spirit and the way her voice draws you into the emotion of a song."

Since her first single ("Dream Girl") post-“American Idol,” she has spent the year touring, writing, and developing as an artist. She has been featured on songs with Ben Fuller ("If I Got Jesus") and Sidewalk Prophets ("Looking Up"). Danielle has toured this fall with Consumed By Fire and Caleb & John, while performing new music from her upcoming project.

She will be on tour next month with Jordan St. Cyr.
