Press Release

For the 12th year, The Summit Federal Credit Union is supporting those in need in the Buffalo region this holiday season by supporting FeedMore WNY’s “Plates of Thanks” initiative.

Monetary donations will be accepted from Nov. 18 through Dec. 31 at either of The Summit’s Buffalo branches at 5641 Transit Road, or 2290 Delaware Ave.

The Summit has taken part in this program since 2012, enabling FeedMore WNY to provide nutritious food and critical resources to neighbors in need. Over the past decade, The Summit has collected and donated nearly $28,000 to FeedMore WNY.

The Summit will also be supporting the Villa of Hope in Rochester; and the Central New York, Seneca, and Cortland County chapters of the United Way throughout the holiday season, reflecting each area served by the credit union’s branches.

“There are so many ways that our members can join The Summit to help those in need throughout the regions that the credit union serves,” said Twanda Christensen, The Summit’s vice president of marketing and community engagement. “The not-for-profit organizations that we are partnering with this holiday season each provide integral services to our regions, and our hope is to not only collect sizeable donations for them, but to raise awareness of the work that they do in our communities.”
