Alzheimer’s Association Press Release
The Western New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association invites Niagara County caregivers to a holiday gathering from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at HART (inside First Presbyterian Church) 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston.
This free event will include discussions on how caregivers can navigate the busy holiday season while also caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
“At the Alzheimer’s Association, we know the holiday season can be stressful, as well as joyous, when a loved one has dementia,” said Andrea Koch, director of community engagement for the WNY chapter. “This program will offer creative strategies to adapt family traditions to ensure the holidays remain enjoyable and meaningful for all.
“In addition, participants can enjoy a build-your-own hot chocolate bar and then stroll the Lewiston Christmas Walk after the program ends.”
Individuals can register by calling 800-272-3900 or online at bit.ly/LewHolidays2024.
