The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens and the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society are excited to host their popular orchid show this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The show will feature hundreds of exotic and award-winning orchids, expert orchid growers and sellers, and other orchid vendors.
Exhibitors of the orchid show include members of the Niagara Frontier Orchid Society. Vendors include Oakwood Orchids, Burgen Watergardens and Nursery, and a new vendor, Kenzie Leigh Co, which creates orchid jewelry from real flowers. Visitors will have the opportunity to see hundreds of exotic and award-winning orchids from expert growers and can shop and learn with the vendors. Judging will take place ahead of opening on Saturday, and visitors will be able to see which orchids have taken the top prizes.
This popular event is great for orchid lovers, plant lovers, photographers, or anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing day among the beautiful flowers within the conservatory. Organizers suggest purchasing tickets ahead of the event, but tickets can also be purchased at the door.
The orchid show is included with regular admission. Tickets are $16.50 for adults, $15 for seniors (62-plus) and students (13-plus), $9 for kids aged 3-12. Kids and Botanical Gardens members are free, but must have a ticket.
