On Wednesday, Nov. 6, at approximately 2:01 p.m., New York State Park Police responded to Niagara Falls State Park, Horseshoe Falls, for a reported female who had intentionally entered the Niagara River. New York State Park Police located multiple witnesses at the scene. An immediate search of the area commenced using Park Police drone, foot searches of the gorge, and visual searches from overlooks. Park Police contacted New York State Police Aviation for assistance in searching the lower Niagara River. Negative results at this time for any victim, search efforts ongoing.
