Friends of the Youngstown Free Library invites book lovers and community members to our highly anticipated November book sale. This year is extra special as we celebrate 75 years of supporting the Youngstown Free Library! Join us as we rally to sustain essential library services amid shrinking public library funding.

Sale dates & details

The sale will be held at the Youngstown Village Center Gym, located at 240 Lockport St. The event starts with Friends members' night – an exclusive evening for Friends members only – from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. If you’re not yet a member, consider joining for early access and other perks.

Public sale days are as follows:

•Friday, Nov. 8: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

•Saturday, Nov. 9: 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (bag sale day – fill a bag for a set price)

Support your library – become a friend

As public funding decreases, the Friends of the Youngstown Free Library has stepped up to bridge the gap with annual fundraisers, including our two major book sales. We invite everyone to become a Friend and be part of preserving the library’s invaluable role in our community.

Donate your books: We gratefully accept donations of gently used books, which fuel our sale and directly support the library. Donations can be dropped off at the Red Brick gym, 240 Lockport St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. Nov. 4-6. Each donated book plays a vital part in our mission, as book sale proceeds allow us to sustain and grow library services that benefit everyone in our community.

Come celebrate 75 years of community support, enjoy great deals on books, and help ensure that the Youngstown Free Library continues to thrive
