Associates of Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter 77 will hold a basket raffle and craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Gratwick Fire House, 110 Ward Road, North Tonawanda. Proceeds support veteran patients in the nursing homes connected to the Batavia and Buffalo VA, as well as children of veterans during the December holidays.
A press release noted, “AVVA Chapter 77 is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families and the families of active military. It actively supports the Paul Rudnicki Food Pantry located at 23 Main St., in the City of Tonawanda. The pantry is open every Wednesday and Saturday and is a lifeline for over 1,000 veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families annually.”
