Crisis Services Press Release
Crisis Services, Erie County’s only 24-hour comprehensive crisis response center, is currently preparing for our biggest night of the year, “Men Who Cook!” The Oct. 16 event will raise funds to support our 24-hour operations and the crisis first responders who provide critical, unduplicated, and lifesaving services to Erie County.
The event will be held at the historic Admiral Room at the Marin in downtown Buffalo and will feature chef-prepared tasting stations provided by Allen Street Hardware, Bratts Hill, Buffalo State University Culinary, Platters Chocolates, Tacos, Community and Beer, Tipico, Wingnutz and WIVB’s Dave Greber.
In addition to delicious food and cocktails, the event will feature live music by Hot Club of Buffalo, a well-appointed basket raffle and online auction, as well as a special honor for our leader, President/CEO Jessica Pirro, as we mark her 25th year with Crisis Services.
This event is brought by the following sponsors that share our commitment to improving the mental health and safety of our community. We are incredibly grateful to the following organizations and businesses for matching their good works with ours: Erie County Medical Center Corp., Hodgson Russ LLP, Harbortown Financial Group, BestSelf Behavioral Health, Buffalo Building Trades Council, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, Community Services for Every1, Crisis Services agency and foundation boards, UBMD Emergency Medicine, UBMD Surgery, CWA 1122, People Inc., Lawley, Brylin, Independent Health Foundation, Mutual of America, Philips Lytle, Pyramid Brokerage and Tipico Coffee.
