Seniors of Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in North Tonawanda, are embracing their golden years with creativity and conviviality – and many celebrations, including National Assisted Living Week (Sept. 8-14).
In line with this year’s NALW theme, “Inspiring Generations,” Wheatfield Commons took a step back to the 1960s with a retro photo booth, handmade tie-dye shirts, music from John Rena, bean bag “Twister” and ice cream! Pictured enjoying the festivities are Joy Richardson and Eleanor Nopper.
Also part of the NALW were “Circus Day” activities including a bullseye game, themed photos and a visit from Nova the goat. Pictured, Ruth Helfinstine clowns around and Dorothy Getty and Grace Fiore enjoy fresh popcorn on the patio.
