Elderwood Residences at Wheatfield, an independent senior living community, recognized the move-in anniversaries of their residents on Thursday, with an appreciation dinner and Academy Awards theme.
At the red-carpet event, residents received silver, gold and platinum “Oscar” trophies for years of residency. The evening also featured resident and staff comedy skits and videos; and a special Lifetime Achievement Award for Georgia Burnette, a 17-year resident and community pioneer who was the director of nursing at Roswell Park and The Buffalo Psychiatric Center.
