Press Release

The West Herr Riviera Theatre announced Lita Ford, with special guest performers Nelson, will perform live at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Public on sale begins at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at https://rivieratheatre.org/event/lita-ford/. Tickets are $59 for reserved seating.

Ford’s career began in 1975 as a founding member and guitarist of the groundbreaking all-female group the Runaways. The group’s hard rock/punk edge spawned hits “Cherry Bomb” and “Queens of Noise.” Ford and the Runaways proved their timelessness in 2014 when “Cherry Bomb” was featured in the critically acclaimed Marvel/Disney Studios hit movie “Guardians Of The Galaxy” and was nominated for a Grammy Award.

In 1983, Ford launched her career as a solo artist with her début album “Out For Blood,” establishing her as a premier female performer in rock and heavy metal. She followed up in 1984 with the release of “Dancin’ on the Edge,” which earned her a Grammy nomination in the Best Female Rock Vocal Performance category. The album produced the world-charting single “Fire In My Heart” and the U.S. Billboard top 50 charting hit “Gotta Let Go.” The song, along with the video being in MTV’s top rotation, began to make Ford a household name and face.

Special guests Nelson kicks the night off.

Multi-Platinum recording artists Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, the twin brothers behind the iconic music group Nelson, embody the enduring legacy of America’s most extraordinary show business family. As the seventh-generation of entertainers, they continue the traditions of excellence and integrity that have characterized their family for over 120 years. From the moment they burst onto the scene with their self-penned debut album, “After The Rain,” Nelson captivated audiences with striking good looks and trademark long blonde hair. However, it was the brothers’ exceptional songwriting and commercially savvy rock sound that catapulted them to stardom, solidifying their status as third-generation torchbearers of the Nelson family legacy.

In a remarkable achievement, their hit single “(I Can’t Live Without Your) Love and Affection” secured the Nelsons’ place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family in history to achieve No. 1 record status in three successive generations.
