The Health Association of Niagara County Inc. (HANCI) will present five awards during its annual meeting and luncheon taking place at noon Sept. 19 at the Niagara Falls County Club. The nonprofit agency, which serves all of Niagara County, will also conduct elections for its board of directors.
Receiving awards will be:
•Outstanding Partner Award: Darlene DiCarlo, Niagara County Office for the Aging
•Special Recognition Award: The family of Polly King
•Karen Albond Courage in Caring Award: Deborah Carella, director of human resources, Niagara Hospice
•HANCI Home Care “Caring Counts” Aide of the Year: To be announced at the event
•Chairperson’s Award for Distinguished Service: Complete Senior Care
Awards will be presented by master of ceremonies Lori Caso and will include county recognition from attending legislators Irene Myers, Jeffrey Elder and Christopher Voccio.
Health Association of Niagara County Inc. is a nonprofit community organization that has been serving the Niagara County community for 96 years. HANCI provides caring, proactive diversified programs and services that promote independence and healthy lifestyles. Programs under the HANCI umbrella include: HANCI home care, The Council for Older Adults in Niagara, senior companion program, foster grandparent program, and the retired and senior volunteer program (RSVP.)
