This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Youngstown Free Library. To commemorate this anniversary, the Friends of the Youngstown Library, along with the Lewiston Service Guild, will sponsor a “jubilee tea” to take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Youngstown Presbyterian Church, 100 Church St.
Organizers said, “Please join us for a traditional high tea luncheon of tea sandwiches and various desserts. Along with the luncheon, we are also including a basket raffle and tickets can be purchased at the door.”
Individual tickets are available for $40, while a table of eight is available for $300, available at the Youngstown Library at 716-745-3555 or from Lewiston Service Guild at 716-628-0631 or 716-531-1791.
The press release added, “Your generosity to these organizations is greatly appreciated and will help continue each in their efforts to support both the Youngstown and Lewiston community. Thank you in advance for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at our ‘jubilee tea.’ ”

About Lewiston Service Guild
The Lewiston Service Guild has been in existence since 1938 – one of the longest service organizations in the community. Over the years, the fundraising efforts have financially supported various local charities, but originally started to support the Lewiston Library. The funds raised with the “jubilee tea” will go to support the two scholarships given out to two graduating seniors to continue their higher education.
