The Lord welcomed Deborah into His arms, after a long illness, at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston.

She was the beloved wife and best friend for 18 years of Michael J. Billoni and resided on Grand Island.

Deborah was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Caldwell; daughter-in-law of the late Anthony and Josephine (nee Bianchi) Billoni; sister-in-law of Paul (Cyndee) Billoni and Anthony (Katie) Billoni; dear aunt to nephews Christopher (Krissy) Billoni and Emmett Billoni; and nieces Erica (Trisha) John and Bianca Billoni; as well as great-aunt to Luca and Ella Billoni. She is also survived by many relatives and cherished friends.

Deborah was born in Eden and graduated from Eden High School and Erie Community College. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and business administration at Hilbert and Daemen colleges, respectively.

A finance and accounting genius, Deborah worked for many years as a highly respected tax preparer for EG Tax and served as the CFO of her husband’s Billoni Associates LLC, a communication and writing business. She was a member of St. Stephen R.C. Church, the Rotary Club of Grand Island, and the Water Buffalo Club 716.

Deborah loved to box, fish, hunt, garden, cook, run, swim, play the viola, go boating, and ride her bicycle around Grand Island. She was also a passionate Buffalo Bills and Bisons season ticketholder, and faithfully cheered on all Buffalo sports teams.

All are invited to Deborah’s homecoming as she transitions to life everlasting with Jesus Christ. The family will be present from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Delaware Chapel of Amigone Funeral Home, 1132 Delaware Ave., where prayers will be offered at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, 325 Walden Ave., Buffalo. Committal service will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Hamburg.

Through Debbie’s end-of-life journey, many have asked how they could help. Debbie’s family has requested that people consider a donation in her memory to St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy. All monies will be used to purchase food for the more than 2,000 prepared meals St. Luke’s distributes every day of the year. Visit http://www.stlukesmissionofmercy.org.
