One of the best concerts of Artpark & Company’s 50th anniversary season kicked off Saturday with rocking performances from Candlebox and Jerry Cantrell.

Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, that formed in 1990 and has released seven studio albums. Candlebox found instant success with the release of its self-titled debut album in 1993, which featured four singles: "Change," "You," "Far Behind" and "Cover Me." "Far Behind" reached the top 20, and the album was certified quadruple-Platinum by the RIAA. The band's next album, “Lucy” (1995), was certified Gold, and was followed three years later by “Happy Pills” (1998).

Cantrell is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter who is best known as the founder, lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and main songwriter of Alice in Chains. The rock band rose to superstardom in the early 1990s during Seattle's grunge movement, thanks to a distinctive vocal style and harmony between Cantrell and the late Layne Staley. Cantrell’s solo career includes the albums “Boggy Depot,” “Degradation Trip Volumes 1 & 2” and “Brighten.”
