The Niagara County Department of Employment and Training will hold its next career fair on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Day Road Park in Lockport for those seeking employment. Approximately 75 companies with open positions have signed up to take part.
“Employers continue to search for good employees to fill open positions across many sectors including the skilled trades, health care, manufacturing, office administration and much more,” said Don Jablonski, director of employment and training. “There are job opportunities for all levels of skill and experience.”
The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at Day Road Park, located at 5014 Day Road in Lockport. No appointments or preregistration are necessary.
“I want to stress that people should not assume they lack the qualifications for any of these jobs, as employers are looking for reliable and dependable candidates, and are willing to provide significant training to those who may lack experience,” Jablonski said. “Plus, our WorkSourceOne team will be there to provide additional assistance to job seekers.”
