Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center invites the public to its Schoellkopf Park restoration event in Schoellkopf Park to celebrate the successful completion of the project. Renovation was made possible by a $155,000 Community Development Grant from the City of Niagara Falls, “significantly enhancing its infrastructure and aesthetic appeal to create a safe and welcoming green space for the community.”

The event will take place at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Schoellkopf Park, 650-660 Portage Road. It will feature a ceremony with speakers emphasizing the project's role in “fostering a vibrant environment for residents and visitors.” The event will conclude with a special butterfly release to honor those who donated toward the engraving of "memory bricks" along David's Path to commemorate the legacy and contributions of those connected to Schoellkopf Health Center. Distinguished guests scheduled to appear include Mayor Robert Restaino and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center President and CEO Joseph A. Ruffolo.

Immediately following the ceremony, the community is invited to enjoy a “Party in the Park” community celebration, sponsored by the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. This celebration will include offerings from local food trucks and live entertainment from White Chocolate Band.
