Upcoming double-features in Academy Park

Coming soon to Academy Park, two marvelous midsummer evenings! 

“The Lewiston Council on the Arts is proud to present two special ‘double-features’ that we know you won’t want to miss,” LCA Executive Director Maria Fortuna Dean said.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra returns at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27, sponsored by DiMino’s Lewiston Tops. Led by Argentinian conductor Fernanda Lastra, this world-class orchestra is playing a fun, family-friendly concert of favorite, familiar tunes.

While you enjoy the music, raise a glass and have a bite to eat with the wineries of the Niagara Wine Trail. 

On Monday, July 29, at 6:30 p.m., a concert by Tom Keefer and Celtic Cross will "bookend" an hour-long telling of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Shakespeare In Delaware Park will perform the classic tale of the King and Queen of the fairies, Oberon & Titania, and their sidekick in mischief, Puck, meddling with the lives of four confused lovers, and a ragtag troupe of would-be actors.
