Citywide convention for 106th Department brings business to destination
Destination Niagara USA Press Release
Destination Niagara USA and the Niagara Falls Convention Center will welcome the American Legion Department of New York for a convention from Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 19.
The American Legion Department of New York was last in Niagara Falls in 2013.
“Niagara Falls State Park is often the initial draw for groups to come to the area, but relationships cultivated by the convention sales team at Destination Niagara USA, and the top-notch services provided by the Niagara Falls Convention Center are what make these lucrative, citywide conventions return time after time,” said John Percy, president and CEO of Destination Niagara USA.
The convention is expected to draw approximately 800 attendees to Niagara Falls, with attendees staying at four host hotels in the immediate downtown area. In addition to sessions taking place at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, the convention has contracted 1,935 room nights at the Sheraton, Wyndham, Holiday Inn and Hyatt Place hotels. The estimated economic impact for this event is more than $1 million.
The mission of Destination Niagara USA is to expand the economic prosperity of the Niagara Falls USA communities by generating individual and group visitation. For more information, visit www.niagarafallsusa.com.
