Press Release

The fun and excitement never stops at Fallsview Casino, starting with Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes, followed by Canadian rock royalty Burton Cummings and his band. The Beach Boys arrive with their “Endless Summer Gold Tour,” and you won’t want to miss Canadian jazz sensation Diana Krall.

“The OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino continues to welcome a wide range of mind-blowing performances, and this fall is no exception,” said Cathy Price, vice president of marketing for Niagara Casinos. “The talented artists scheduled to perform at Fallsview Casino are truly exceptional, and their upcoming appearances will certainly generate high levels of excitement.”

On Nov. 3, sway with the music of the Gipsy Kings, featuring Nicolas Reyes, as they incorporate elements of Latin and Cuban styles, Arabic music, reggae, and jazz guitar reminiscent of the French Gypsy master Django Reinhardt. They have never lost their intense connection to the traditional flamenco of their heritage, keeping a spotlight on Tonino Baliardo’s fluid guitar work and Reyes’s powerful vocals. This broad cultural mix has enabled the Gipsy Kings to be embraced wherever they play – from China to Brazil, New Orleans to Russia, Australia to Africa.

On Nov. 8, rock the night away with Burton Cummings, who celebrates a career spanning more than 60 years. As lead singer and songwriter with the original The Guess Who, Burton recorded and wrote/co-wrote hits such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “No Time,” “American Woman,” “Share the Land,” “Hand Me Down World,” “Albert Flasher,” “Star Baby,” “Clap for The Wolfman” and “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature.” As a solo artist, he leaves his mark with the poignant “Stand Tall,” “I’m Scared,” “You Saved My Soul,” and his signature “My Own Way to Rock.” With the original The Guess Who, he earned the first U.S. Platinum album by a Canadian artist and, as a solo artist, the first quadruple-Platinum Canadian-produced album. Cummings is honored to have received, in total, 80 Platinum and Gold record awards.

On Nov. 16-17 elevate your entertainment experience at the “Endless Summer Gold Tour” with The Beach Boys – one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide. Between the 1960s and today, the group has had over 80 songs chart worldwide, 36 of them in the U.S. Top 40 (the most by a U.S. rock band), and four topping the Billboard Hot 100. Their influence on other artists spans musical genres and movements. Countless artists have cited “Pet Sounds” as their inspiration for creating their own musical masterpieces. Rolling Stone ranked “Pet Sounds” No. 2 on its list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time,” and The Beach Boys No. 12 on its list of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time.” The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award.
