The Community Health Center of Buffalo will host a free women’s self-care event, called “Show Yourself Some Love,” from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at 2715 Highland Ave., Niagara Falls. This event was previously scheduled for an earlier date.
Organizers said, “Important women’s wellness tips will be provided during a presentation by the Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc. women’s health department staff. Attendees will have an opportunity to treat themselves to self-care stations, including chair massages by Yamastay Mobile Massage Co., healthy recipes from the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County, and information on the importance of cancer screenings from Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. There will also be a coloring station that may help with coping with stress and anxiety.”
Information about services provided by the Community Health Center of Buffalo will be available, including medical, pediatrics, dental, women’s health, family planning, and counseling, as well as rapid HIV and STI testing.
A free healthy lunch will be provided during the event. Plus, attendees who are age 21 or over can enter to win two VIP tickets to “The Queens of R&B” concert at Darien Lake on Aug. 6.
